Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about court access, client-owned infrastructure, Dropbox delivery, and firm access.
How do you handle my EDMS credentials?
We don't. Your Iowa Courts eFiling login credentials are stored on your own Render service. Our servers never see them. Your firm remains responsible for making sure use of the account is authorized and consistent with court rules.
What is Render and why do I need it?
Render is a cloud hosting platform. Each firm has their own Render account running the case search service. This keeps your EDMS credentials isolated and under your control. We provide step-by-step setup instructions.
Why does it need access to my Dropbox?
When you run case-search or notification jobs, the downloaded documents need a firm-controlled destination. Dropbox is a familiar, easy-to-use place. You authorize once with a button click and documents land in your Dropbox folder automatically.
Is there a contract or commitment?
No long-term commitment is required for the standard plan. The subscription is month-to-month. Your Render account and Dropbox account are yours and remain under your control.
Can multiple people in my firm use it?
Yes. Team access is included. Each person logs in with their own account but can share the firm's tools, Dropbox connection, activity history, and team current list.
What Iowa courts are supported?
The tools operate through your authorized Iowa Courts eFiling account. Availability depends on what that account is permitted to access and what the court system makes available.
